Star Wars Exhibition Brings Reality to Fantasy
An exhibit developed by the Museum of Science, Boston, in collaboration with Lucasfilm, Ltd. explores the possibility that some of the robots, vehicles and devices of the Star Wars films are closer to reality than one might think.
The exhibition--now at the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia, Pa., through May 4--showcases landspeeders, R2D2 and other icons as engineering design challenges and highlights how researchers are currently pursuing similar ...

Attraction at the Atomic Level
Countless romance novels begin with a hero and heroine who initially repel each other, only to find them thrown together in uncomfortable circumstances and ultimately rejoicing as their antagonism switches to ardor.
Odd as it seems, this tried-and-true romantic formula may also describe the scintillating secret behind the science of superconductivity--the phenomenon that occurs when materials conduct electricity across huge distances without losing any energy due to resistance from the ...

Just found out that I can blog on all my blog sites simultaneously through this new tool developed by Six Apart, developers of my favorite blog site VOX. I have to admit, the speed of technology has surpassed my ability to keep up. Also surpassing my abilities to keep up is the speed of time. It's hard for me to sit and chat on the phone - boys and dogs interrupt me. Blogging is great if only my buddies would jump on board. Thanks for the few of you who are blogging (and welcome Sally!).
These are the knitting sites my knitting/crocheting/quilting friend Laura recommended, in fact, she has her very own blog about her beautiful creations. Since I am always hunting around for those sites when I need them, I decided to put them all in one spot. The "My Links" area won't accommodate them all. And I am always happy to share...

I will add as I run across or by suggestion. Laura's site is pretty comprehensive at this point. She could do a power point on web sites alone I think. Thank goodness someone can...knit one, purl two y'all.

Most of my friends are MySpacers, which is just lovely, but I thought I may be able to "chat" with them more if I give them a challenge. So...I am experimenting with my own QOTD.
I will place a one-liner just under my title "The Mrs." that is from a famous poem and/or poet. You have to guess the poem's title and the author. If you get the correct answer, well, you get a kudos from me.
This week's Literary QOTD:
"I am a syllable in nine months..."
Name that POEM (and poet)!
